Scott Jackson is the lead vocalist and visionary behind The 8th Line, formed in 2020 in Barrie. The 8th Line is a six-piece band, performing a mix of originals and cover songs, in a classic rock/pop direction. The band achieved radio airplay with “Your Sad Eyes” which follows the influential legacy of the Rolling Stones and Bryan Adams. The follow-up single “Squeaky Wheel” also received radio airplay.
The band will release their debut album this Spring. The 8th Line is named after a rural concession line where Jackson rides his road bike just outside of Barrie. Scott Jackson is a 43-year radio veteran, having managed Anthem For Today and All Rescued Children and accepted several nominations at the Canadian Covenant Awards. Jackson is also the Founder of LIFE 100.3 radio in Barrie.
