The church was never meant to stay comfortable or focused on itself. From the very beginning, God has called His people to step out in faith, empowered by the Holy Spirit to share the hope of Jesus with the world.

In Week 1 of our SENT series, Sent by the Spirit, we explore Acts 13–14 and follow Paul and Barnabas as they begin their missionary journey. Their story reminds us that following Jesus requires obedience, courage, and a willingness to go wherever God leads, even when the journey is uncomfortable or uncertain.

As we look at the example of the early church, we're challenged to consider what it means to put God's mission ahead of our own comfort, traditions, and personal preferences. Are we willing to move beyond simply gathering together and become a church that actively reaches people with the Gospel?

The same Holy Spirit who sent and empowered the early church is still calling us today. We aren't simply called to gather. We are SENT.
